  • Couple

A real home from home where the guests are important and treated as friends. Hazel and Charlie look after their guests ensuring that they have many keen to return

  • Older travelers

Friendly, clean, comfortable, central but not too central, pleasant, value for money

  • Couple

I liked how central the hotel was to ayr town centre. We were down visiting for the weekend to attend the races and it was very handy and within walking distance to the race course. It was a bit tricky to get into the guest house however as it was just off a busy road and not a lot of room to park within the grounds of the guest house. The breakfast was lovely and you could basically get what you want cooked.

As I said above it was a bit tricky to park because it was a small space and just off a busy road. However the guest house was lovely and the owner was very friendly.

  • Older travelers

A friendly welcome and just a good alround experience

  • Older travelers

Owners very friendly, especially Charlie, who chatted a bit more. On the whole we enjoyed our visit and would stay At Coila again.

Only one hand towel. Bed was two singles pushed together, didn't make for comfortable sleeping and they were a bit on the hard side. Usually one expects a wee packet of biscuits each, only one between two here. Also only 3 strips of coffee. A little bit niggardly. Also short on toast at breakfast and weren't asked if we wished for any more.

  • Single

Choice of Breakfast, friendly owners, thought of everything you may need during your stay.

  • Group of friends

Friendly and welcoming staff, excellent accomodation, comfort and food.

  • Older travelers

A warm welcome, clean spacious bedroom and a tastey breakfast.

  • Older travelers

Easy to book, great value, convenient for our needs, very friendly staff & excellent room.

    Cant think of anything!

  • Single

Clean, friendly, extremely comfortable beds, excellent customer service and breakfasts to die for.

  • Older travelers

The room was lovely and the en suite also very nice. Breakfast in the morning was outstanding, the highlight of our stay. Our hosts Charlie and Hazel were very helpful with suggestions for dinner and travel our next day.

The street was a bit busy during the day, but was quiet during the evening.

  • Single

Excellent value for money and exceptional choice of home made breakfast dishes to choose from. Genuinely helpful and friendly owners.

  • Older travelers

This was the best b & b we have ever stayed in. Hazel greeted us with a class of wine and sat and talked with us. The rooms were tastefully decorated, comforable and have a ggod size flat screen tv. The breakfast was excellent, with great variety. I had fresh fruit salad, porrige and the haddock in milk. We were delayed in arriving as we had been to a local laundry and when we told Hazel she said she would have done laundry for us. Charlie and Hazel are wonderful hosts. They could charge more. .

  • Family with children

The location, the friendly welcome we received on arrival, the room was first class clean and warm, slept very well, the breakfast was a treat, would stay again and recommend to friends and family.

  • Older travelers

I thought the accommodation and hospitality were first class
